Salvatore has a passion for life and for the Mediterranean fishing traditions. He was born in Sicily into a fishermen’s family who later moved to Crotone, where fish were more abundant. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all seamen, whose secrets and tricks have been passed down from generation to generation. Salvatore is now ready to share his traditional knowledge with our guests.

Drifting
Drift fishing is an intense experience – a battle of wits between man and fish. Skippers like Salvatore have been able to develop a special instinct useful to locate tuna schools. A light equipment ensures an engaging fight with big preys, making it an unforgettable experience to be immortalized with videos and pictures.
Trolling
Troll Fishing is used for big fish like the greater amberjack, dentex, grouper and relies upon traditional techniques, pounced fishing lines or downriggers with live, dead or fake baits. Surface trolling can be practised in summer in order to catch sword fish, dolphin-fish, albacore fish, tuna, garfish and many other species.
